Online shopping can be hit or miss – as one woman learned the hard way recently.
Instead of receiving the £1 top she ordered on Vinted, she apparently ended up with an entirely different item. A TikTok user, known as depopdrama, narrated the tale of this strange shopping experience in his latest video.
The top in question, supposedly from Poundland, sported the quirky message: “My husband is 40, and still hot.”
Depopdrama then detailed exchanges between the bewildered buyer and the seller. The seller assured the parcel had been dispatched, only for the buyer to enquire: “Did you send it in a brown box hun? I opened it, and it’s an all day breakfast.”
The seller insisted they sent the top in an envelope, even though the buyer added to the mystery by sending a photo of an all-day breakfast microwave meal packed with the likes of hash browns and bacon.
As confusion grew, the buyer firmly requested a refund on grounds that the item was SNAD (significantly not as described), expressing her disappointment at not receiving the top.
Following this bizarre mix-up, the case was escalated to Vinted – who ultimately resolved the issue in favour of the buyer. The £1 was refunded, leaving the buyer with either the elusive top or a surprise breakfast meal.
The bizarre shopping fail has enthrawled people because they think the story is so wild. They just can’t get their heads around how the woman was sent a breakfast.
Depopdrama invited his followers to weigh in on the debate, though he didn’t hold back his own verdict. He captioned the video: “I’m not sure what’s worse, the all-day breakfast or that awful top.”
Since it was shared, the video has been viewed thousands of times, and people were keen to share their views. Some just couldn’t believe how much the drama esculated.
One viewer was quick to make a joke, writing: “The breakfast is probably more valuable than the top.” Someone else chimed in with: “I’d rather have an all-day breakfast.”
Another remarked: “If it was anything less than a fiver, I really wouldn’t care that much about it.” Meanwhile, a fourth added: “I wouldn’t even complain to be honest.”
