Queen Camilla looked regal on Wednesday as she joined King Charles, on her 77th birthday, for his second King’s Speech at the State Opening of Parliament, but royal fans had one thing to point out.

The Queen looked stunning in a white long-sleeve gown by Fiona Clare and Eliot Zed’s Moon silver heels.

For jewellery, Camilla donned the glistening Diamond Diadem as well as the illustrious Queen Alexandra’s Collet necklace, which she previously wore to her husband’s Coronation last May and two gold chain chokers.

But she also wore a pair of diamond drop earrings as well as her beloved Van Cleef & Arpels Sweet Alhambra Heart 18k rose gold & carnelian bracelet (£1,232), which she almost always wears during most of her appearances.

However, royal fans were not convinced her everyday jewellery was the right choice for yesterday’s occasion, even though they largely praised her look.

One user wrote on X: “I don’t like the everyday jewellery mixed in.”

Another one said: “She looks great but agh she just can’t let go of her daily necklaces can she. I mean I kinda love it but also, girl, let those diamonds out on their own!!!”

While a third one agreed: “I agree, two gold chains around her neck with the diamond reverie is a little unnecessary.”

But the majority of royal fans seem to have approved of the Queen’s look with one user writing: “Beautiful and total royal look.”

A second one commented: “Just amazing. So regal.”

A third one chimed: “She looks smashing!”

Lastly, a fourth one added: “She looks great here.”

It comes just one day after the King and Queen travelled to the Channel Islands for a two-day visit, where Camilla was spotted wearing a support bandage on her right ankle.

The bandage, thought to have been placed due to a minor ankle sprain on Monday, was not visible on the Queen during Wednesday’s appearance.
