Jill Biden’s Mother’s Day message mocked following accusation she has ignored grandchild

Jill Biden’s Mother’s Day message has been mocked online following accusations the Biden family is purposely ignoring one of their grandchildren.

This weekend, the First Lady posted a video on both Twitter and Instagram stating she was grateful to both teachers and mothers for inspiring the next generation and posted a video celebrating a daughter who had followed in her mother’s footsteps of becoming a teacher.

In the video, Jill calls teacher Rhonda to wish her a happy Mother’s Day after her daughter Chrysti wrote to the First Lady to say her mother has been a role model, which the First Lady praises as being “beautiful.”

However, the post has received some backlash, with some users commenting on Navy Joans Roberts, the daughter of Hunter Biden who was found to be his daughter following a court paternity test.

One comment said: “Personally, I will be wishing a Happy Mother’s Day to Lunden Roberts, the mother of your granddaughter, Navy” while somebody else wrote: “Don’t speak about Mother’s Day when you’re ignoring your granddaughter.”

It has been reported that Navy’s mother, Lunden Roberts met Hunter at a strip club in 2017 and that Hunter has never met Navy.

It comes at a time President Joe Biden recently failed to acknowledge Navy as his seventh grandchild during a recent “take your child to work day” at the White House.

President Biden said: “I have six grandchildren. And I’m crazy about them. And I speak to them every single day. Not a joke.”

He then gave a brief description of his six other grandchildren to an audience of elementary students, and then said: “They’re crazy about me because I pay so much attention to them.”

In early May, journalists questioned the Biden family’s refusal to acknowledge Navy during a White House press conference, after Hunter Biden appeared in court to reduce his child support payments for his daughter.

Emily Gooin from the Daily Mail asked: “I wanted to ask about the trial going on in Arkansas with Hunter Biden and the child support, Are the president and first lady monitoring that and how come they haven’t acknowledged the seventh grandchild?”

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre did not answer the question, and said: “I’m not gonna speak to that from here.”

In Jill’s comment section, some comments criticised the first lady for not publicly acknowledging her granddaughter.

One user said: “Special shout out to Lunden on this special day” while somebody else wrote: “Weird celebrating the next generation when you can’t even name all of your grandchildren”

However, other comments thanked the First Lady for her Mother’s Day message, as one comment said: “Happy Mother’s Day Jill, we appreciate you! Thank you for your hard work, we support you!”

Somebody else said: “This is so sweet! We have such a wonderful First Lady.”

Another person said: “Ignore the negativity, have a great Mother’s Day Dr Jill Biden.”
