Cyber Monday may be over, however shoppers still have a chance to get their hands on a great deal with various retailers extending their sales for the entire week. Among them is New Balance with the brand offering reduced rates throughout Cyber Week, including big savings on trainers praised by workers who are on their feet all day, such as nurses and cleaners.
This includes a price cut on the trendy unisex 1906R Shoes which now cost £98, down from £140, thanks to a generous 30% discount. The trainers come in striking silver metallic with blue agate and sea salt accents, and are available in sizes 3.5 to 13.5.
The shoes aren’t just about looks; the soles are equipped with a combination of flexible ACTEVA LITE cushioning and shock-absorbing N-ergy, while the heel has segmented ABZORB SBS pods for extra comfort. The upper part of the shoe is made from an open-holed mesh and a series of curvilinear synthetic overlays.
Customers are raving about the trainers, with one thrilled buyer giving the 1906R Shoes a perfect score in the reviews section. They shared: “I purchased these to work in as I clean houses, so I need a flexible shoe that will hold up to the work I do. So far, so good, they give me a lot of support. My feet don’t hurt and my legs aren’t tired at the end of the work day. The real test for me will be to see how long they hold up.”
Sadly one shopper had to return their pair of trainers as they were ‘too narrow’, yet another thrilled customer praised the fit with a glowing review: “Love these sneakers. They feel so comfortable, great support for my flat foot without fatigue after a long day. I’m a nurse on my feet all day, and I didn’t want a bulky sneaker. These are awesome and stylish.”
Another pair of trainers that has earned the approval of healthcare workers are the New Balance 1906 Utility Shoes. Sporting a stylish grey colourway, the unisex footwear is currently offered with a lovely 30% off during Cyber Week, cutting the price from £155 to £108.50.
Crafted with a suede and mesh upper, the trainers come in sizes from 3.5 up to 13.5. It’s worth noting that some sizes are currently out of stock, highlighting their popularity, so you’ll want to act swiftly if you’d like a pair.
Although designed as a running shoe, they offer a variety of comfort features and premium technology, including the ACTEVA LITE, N-ergy, and ABZORB technology mentioned above. One happy customer left a five-star rating, commenting: “I’m a healthcare worker and spend over 12 hours on my feet daily. These shoes are perfect for walking around the hospital and for walking on pavement.”
However, they did note a slight downside: “I have worn them to the gym to lift in once, but I do not recommend them if you are looking for a versatile training shoe. They are definitely better suited for walking.”
