But motoring experts have revealed the one in 007’s collection most likely to leave Bond girls shaken but not stirred.

A study rated 150 vehicles used in the long-running movie franchise.

Points were awarded for speed, style, performance, handling and acceleration. And the AMC Hornet driven by Roger Moore in The Man with the Golden Gun was the worst.

In the 1974 film, Bond pinches the car from a dealership in Bangkok, and performs a mid-air barrel turn jumping 40ft of a river.

Despite the Hornet having a top speed of 130mph, it was voted the clunkiest motor Bond drove.

The Triumph Stag from Diamonds are Forever and the Ford Edge from Quantum of Solace were rated next worse.

The Lotus Esprit from 1977’s The Spy Who Loved Me also made the list.

Unsurprisingly it was the Aston Martin that took the crown of best Bond car of all time, with the DBS V12 driven by Daniel Craig in 2006 flick Casino Royale.

The iconic car has a top speed of 211mph, gets to 60mph in just 3.4 seconds, and costs £240,000.

Aston Martin, based in Gaydon in Warwickshire, took six spots in the top 10, with the V12 Vanquish from Die Another Day coming second, and the DB10 from Spectre third.

Daniël de Voer, of Dailybase, which conducted the poll, said: “Each vehicle is not just a mode of transportation but a symbol of Bond’s refined taste and the high-stakes world he inhabits.

“These iconic cars do more than captivate audiences; they become legendary.”

Bond fan Clive Acreman, 54, said: “The cars are a huge draw, from the flashiest to the most basic. My favourite cars are definitely in For Your Eyes Only.

Roger Moore is driving a white Lotus Esprit Turbo one minute, and the next he’s driving a Citroen 2CV.”
