Marks and Spencer has got shoppers well and truly in the festive spirit this week with the launch of multiple Christmas adverts, including the M&S Food advert featuring Dawn French wearing a Textured V-Neck Midi Relaxed Dress (retailing for £30) which has already become a fan favourite.

The 2024 Christmas advert tells the tale of a mischievous little girl who brings a festive period void of snow to life thanks to a magic snow globe, all set to the backdrop of ‘I Believe in Miracles’ by The Jackson Sisters. It features rising star Skylar Blue (Britain’s Got Talent) and is directed by Emmy-nominated Elliot Power, with choreography by Corey Baker, known for his work on the film Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.

The newest advert is for clothing and home and features several sparkly and embellished pieces to bring festive joy to any occasion in the run-up to Christmas. The clothing range starts from £12.50 and includes kidswear, womenswear and menswear, plus some accessories and home decor bits – you can shop the whole collection here

Express.co.uk has rounded up some of our favourite pieces from the collection – but be quick because the most popular items are likely to go fast.

The high-waisted shimmer leggings are one of the cheapest items of women’s clothing (excluding accessories) to feature in the advert, coming in at £22.50.

They are a subtle hint at the glitz of Christmas without going overboard – perfect for a more demure festive look.

Sometimes buying pieces that can only be worn at Christmas isn’t ideal, but the Lyocell Rich Sequin Mini Waisted Dress is subtle enough for other occasions but has just enough sparkle for the festive season – so it’s super versatile and at £39.50, is probably one of the best options for cost per wear.

If you don’t want to go all out with a full-on sparkly dress, a sequin top can be perfect for adding just the right amount of glamour to an outfit.

The Sequin Top costs £35 and comes in a bright gold shade or a more toned-down dark green, and is ideal for popping on with plain trousers or a skirt that you might already have in your wardrobe.

For chic and classic looks, you can’t go wrong with a shift dress, but this one has a little something extra to it – the bow detail on the back makes a statement while keeping a timeless look.

The dress costs £59, and while most sizes are still available, a few are beginning to sell out, so it’s proving popular already.

Embellished with pearlescent details, this Mini A-Line Skirt from Marks and Spencer is a great choice for Christmas parties, described as having a ‘flattering A-line shape, with darts at the waist for a neat fit.’

Although it’s one of the pricier items in the range at £45, considering the detailed design this skirt looks much more expensive than it is.
