The one feature on Shark CryoGlow that makes it my favourite LED mask

With new beauty products launching every week, there is one product that I reach for every time I need a little pick-me-up and it’s Shark’s CryoGlow LED Mask – offering anti-ageing, blemish repair and undereye-cooling treatments under 10 minutes. There are a lot of beauty tech products on the market that feature light therapy but the CryoGlow tackles one very common concern, saggy bags under the eyes.

Designed with two metal plates attached to the LED mask, I enjoyed putting the CryoGlow on for a quick five-minute treatment to depuff the swelling and it was like giving a cup of coffee to my under-eyes thanks to the InstaChill Cold Technology to firm and tighten under-eyes. For a limited time, the CryoGlow LED mask is reduced to £269.99 from £299.99 and if you want a charging stand along with the mask, the price has gone down from £329.99 to £299.99.

Under-eye cooling helps soothe, depuff and tighten under-eyes. LED routines help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles over time, and help reduce the appearance of textured, uneven skin and blemishes.

The Undereye Cooling mode took away the trouble of using chunky ice rollers (and saving space in my freezer), I simply secured the mask on by adjusting the velcro strap and chose either a five, 10 or 15-minute routine for a soothing and refreshing experience. The temperature on the cold plates can drop to 16°C and your skin may feel hot, but that’s a normal sign when the controlled cold burn works by restricting blood vessels.

Moving onto general skin glow-up, shoppers can choose between the Better Ageing, Blemish Repair and Skin Sustain modes. The Better Ageing mode utilises red LEDs and Infrared light to give a six-minute treatment to plump skin and improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and sagging.

If you are blemish-prone or have uneven texture, pick the Blemish Repair mode. It’s an eight-minute 3-phrase mode using blue light, red light and infrared light to repair skin damage with an antimicrobial effect.

I followed the advice and moved on to using Skin Sustain mode after an 8-week cycle of Better Ageing and Blemish Repair. I woke up to a brighter complexion with a soft glow. My skin is now in a better condition when I go on with my daily skincare routine. The only thing I’d say is that it’s heavy compared to a silicone LED mask, while it feels secure I do have to lie down during the 10-minute treatment.

While fine lines are not disappearing, the under-eye bags are definitely less puffy and the CryoGlow gave me a mini facelift around the jawline. If you are looking for an LED mask to try, make sure to grab the Shark discount to enjoy £30 off.

CurrentBody’s new Series 2 LED Mask includes a “chin guard” to take care of the problematic area and it is a flexible silicone face mask retailing at £399.99. If you want to give your face a workout, Silk’n has just launched a new LED mask, £299, that combines light therapy and Electric Muscle Stimulation (EMS) technology, which work to tone and define eye, cheekbones and key mid-face areas.
