Channel 4 is now streaming a 2021 comedy starring The Good Place’s Kristen Bell completely for free.

Based on a true story, this crime caper didn’t get rave reviews upon its initial release but a passionate pocket of fans consider it one of the most underrated comedies in recent years.

Alongside the Forgetting Sarah Marshall star, the film also features Community’s Joel McHale, Cruella’s Paul Walter Hauser, Kirby Howell-Baptiste of Killing Eve fame and comedy legend Vince Vaughn.

Singer Bebe Rexha also makes her live-action film debut in the side-splitting feature.

We’re talking about the 2021 cult comedy Queenpins, which follows Bell and Howell-Baptiste as two frustrated friends who launch a scheme to sell illegal coupons and swindle mega-corporations out of millions.

Eventually, Loss Prevention Officer Ken Miller (played by Hauser) and US Postal Inspector Simon Kilmurry (Vaughn) are hot on their trail to put a stop to their pink collar crime spree.

Despite only receiving a 48 percent critics score on Rotten Tomatoes, the audience score is far stronger at 82 percent and it has an overwhelming majority of five-star ratings on Google.

One such review reads: “This movie was amazing and SO underrated. The people who left negative reviews just don’t get it.

“F****** sexy masterpiece of a middle finger to patriarchy and capitalism. There is a .0000001% that Kristin and Kirby will read this but you and your team did a PHENOMENAL job and inspire and have impacted my life so much.”

Another user wrote: “I loved this movie! The characters are so complex and I think it portrays the ecosystem of US consumerism so so well!

“The characters are all great, and I found myself rooting for almost everyone in the movie! Great performances all around.”

A third said: “Loved it. Quirky, offbeat comedy drama with everything from sass to sadness. A great watch and an intriguing story about coupons LOL.

“Kristen Bell is as sexy and funny as always but the whole cast of characters make this film a real surprise. Loved it.”

Over on the film social media platform Letterboxd, Queenpin is also picking up rave reviews.

One user gushed: “This movie was so much fun, I loved all the characters and was laughing the whole time.

“Unlike a lot of recent comedies with big names, this movie wasn’t a cheesy cop out. It was really charming and had a great plot and story! I’m a huge fan of the power of female friendship.”

And a final fan wrote: “This was such an entertaining movie and I wasn’t expecting that. The acting was amazing and the story was so funny and entertaining.

“And it’s also based on a true event which I should read more about. The cinematography was good as well. Overall this was a very entertaining movie that I would suggest to everyone.”

Now this hidden gem is completely free to watch, make sure you catch up on what could be one of the best unsung comedies in recent years.

Queenpins is available to stream on Channel 4.
