Beauty journalist Nadine Baggott says she was left surprised by an overnight beauty product which, though she was “sceptical” of at first, left her skin glowing and hydrated by morning. Appearing on Monday’s episode of This Morning, she revealed the £14.90 Biodance Bio Collagen-Real Deep Masks was one of her favourite tried and tested beauty products.
Nadine put the collagen-infused mask to the test overnight, and as someone who moves around quite a lot in her sleep, she was pleasantly surprised to see that the mask stayed until morning. She was even happier when she peeled off the mask to discover the results.
“I was very sceptical but I have to say this morning when I woke up my face was super glowy, very hydrated,” she explained.
The Biodance Bio Collagen-Real Deep Masks are available at Boots, costing £14.90 for a pack of four, but can also be purchased from Superdrug for a slightly higher price of £18.80.
The masks contain a supercharged blend of powerful skincare ingredients. Probiotics strengthen the skin barrier and prevent skin ageing, collagen improves elasticity and smooths out fine lines and wrinkles, while hyaluronic acid deeply penetrates the skin with hydration.
Simply remove the mask from its packaging, place it on your face after cleansing and hop into bed. Nadine explained that the mask felt quite thick, which she thought would make it slip off her face, but it did quite the opposite. Even though she is a self-professed side-sleeper, the mask remained in one place all night. “I thought there’s no way this is going to stay in place, and genuinely, you peel it off,” she said. Nadine added that the mask will work for eight hours.
The beauty expert also noted that the cooling sensation of the mask would make it perfect for summer nights.
Using an overnight product is perfect if your mornings are too rushed for a full-on skincare routine. Dedicating a minute or two to applying a product the night before can mean you don’t have to compromise on glowing skin in the morning. It also leaves more time for the product to sink in and get to work on your skin.
Boots shoppers have also praised the mask, with one commenting: ”Gorgeous face mask. [You] can leave it on all night. Lovely glow once peeled off in [the] morning. Will definitely buy [it] again.” [SIC]
Another added: ”I cannot recommend this product highly enough. Skin feels amazing, looks glowing and lines and wrinkles are reduced. Use twice a week for best results – glad these are now in Boots.”
However, a third complained about the price, saying: ”I bought this and it makes my skin look so good but it is quite pricey for four masks.”
Along with the Biodance Bio Collagen-Real Deep Masks, Nadine made some extra recommendations during her segment on This Morning. She also recommended the Skinremide Anti Wrinkle patches for smile lines, forehead wrinkles and crow’s feet, which can be purchased for £18.95 at Amazon.
“These are going viral on TikTok and very young people are using them,” the beauty expert explained.
Indeed, on TikTok creators have been putting skin patches to the test with some claiming to see results “right away”. There are all manner of brands out there to try. Creator Shannon O’Brien, 51, said she has “never had Botox” in her forehead because using silicone forehead patches has achieved “the same thing without injections”.
The patches simply peel off the transfer and can be placed on key areas of your face which may be prone to wrinkles. “The idea is that you stick them on your face and it stops your face moving overnight,” said Nadine.
However, she added: “I’m slightly more sceptical about these because I don’t think you emote that much [in your sleep].”
