Shoppers say this £10 ‘miracle’ serum makes them look ’10 years younger’

Boots shoppers have found an affordable beauty deal that “firms saggy skin” and makes them look “ten years younger” – and it only costs £10.

Skincare fans are embracing their bare faces and skipping foundation after using the Olay Regenerist 3 Point Anti-Ageing Firming Serum, saying they saw noticeable results and a reduction in wrinkles within a week.

Usually £34, the powerful serum – which uses Amino-peptide Complex II and Pentapeptides to penetrate “10 layers deep into the skin’s surface” – is on sale for £10 for one day only as part of Boots’ weekly £10 Tuesday offer.

The “Botox alternative” as customers have been calling it, is also reduced on Amazon for a limited time.

The ultra-lightweight, skin-plumping formula contains a high concentration of active ingredients, firming skin for a lifted look and reduces the look of fine lines and wrinkles, while also helping to exfoliate and smooth the skin.

Olay products have long been a skincare cupboard staple, and one 63 year old woman says it’s the reason she looks 10 years younger, writing a five star review that read: “I have been using Olay Regenerist Serum for years! I’m not sure if it can reduce wrinkles? But using it daily has certainly helped to protect my skin in the ageing process! (I’m now 63, looking a decade younger). Definitely an alternative to Botox, which has worked for me!”

Another person said: “This is a little miracle in a tube. My skin feels renewed, hydrated and firmer. I even had the confidence to go out without makeup on as my complexion looked so glowing. Can’t wait to buy this when it becomes available – well done again Olay for yet another fab edition to your skincare range.”

A third person mentioned that it “tightens saggy eyelids”, writing: “I have been using the anti-ageing serum for a week now and have seen a noticeable difference in my skin. Helps my wrinkles disappear and tightens the saggy eyelids. Love it and will order more.”

A fourth person praised: “I don’t believe in miracles but this product surprised and delighted me in such a short time. Apart from the lovely fragrance, the first noticeable effect was the hydration and softening of my skin. This was followed by a clear improvement in skin tone, taking years off, due to the general brightening and lessening of lines. I’m also impressed at how far a little goes- it makes it such a good buy. The way it is absorbed, without greasiness or mess, makes it a joy to apply. You must try it and buy it!”

Some people complained that the cream was “sticky”, and one person said it made her skin “too tight”.

She left a three-star review: “The product smells great and certainly does tighten to reduce the appearance of wrinkles but it tightened my (combination) skin a bit too much causing dryness and slight flakiness. I am in the final trimester of pregnancy and fear this may have been a contributing factor…”

Other top serums for older skin include No7 Future Renew serum, with brand new science. It quickly sold out when it debuted last April, with someone buying it every two seconds on the first day.

No7 Future Renew serum is now the top skincare product at Boots for 2023, with the matching Day Cream SPF40 and Night Cream just behind.

Revolution also brought out a new night serum that people say is “better than Estee Lauder”.
