Royal Mail issues warning to anyone sending 1st class Christmas post

2097

Royal Mail has shared its final posting dates on its website, and the cut-off for some deliveries has already happened.

This means Britons must be quick if they have any letters or parcels that need to arrive before the big day.

Royal Mail said: “Latest posting dates are correct at the time of publishing and are subject to change.

“It’s always advisable to post as early as possible to ensure that your Christmas letters and parcels reach their destination in good time.”

Here are the latest posting dates from Royal Mail for Christmas 2024.

The latest postal date for 2nd Class and 2nd Class Signed For was December 18, meaning this date has already passed.

Luckily, there is still time for 1st Class and 1st Class Signed For Royal Mail Tracked 48, with today (December 20) being the cut-off date.

The last postal date to send parcels via Royal Mail’s Tracked 24 service is December 21, just in time for Christmas.

For anyone sending via the company’s Special Delivery Guaranteed service, December 23 is the final date for the item to arrive in time.

However, Royal Mail urges customers to send parcels and items as early as possible in the event of any delays.

Postal dates for the international economy, tracking and signature services have also passed.

Delays at this time of year are extremely common, with certain offices experiencing issues.

Royal Mail apologised for the inconvenience certain areas around the country are facing.
