Queen Camilla has tranformed into a sophisticated senior member of the Royal Family since King Charles III took over the crown from his late mother Queen Elizabeth two years ago.

The Queen is a huge fan of the outdoors and spends a lot of her free time gardening after claiming that it helps her relax

She has maintained a classically conservative approach to her hair and makeup and Camilla is known for her signature feathery bob, also sticking by the rule that less is more when it comes to her makeup.

Like many of us, she has been loyal to the same hairdresser for decades – the Queen has visited Jo Hansford for an impressive 35 years. Meanwhile her makeup artist Marina Sandoval has been part of her team for the past 15 years.

They struck up a sweet frindship at the prestigious salon after Marina was orginally her manicurist. She said that she has achieved the pristine look by five simple steps.

The Columbian-born Saldoval was responsible for her glamorous look at the Coronation back in May 2023 and revealed how she made her appear ageless.

In an interview with the Telegraph, she said that it is important when dealing with older skin you create a dewy base to give you a flawless complexion.

It is important to use a rich face cream, especially in the winter. One product you may want to consider is Elizabeth Arden’s Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant Nighttime Miracle Moisturiser – which you can buy here for £42.

It has rave reviews with one customer saying: “Love this healing broth and it holds original Elizabeth Arden DNA in its mixture and this is why I use nothing but applies so heavenly and skin looks amazing the next morning.”

It has also been noted that using an eye cream is equally as important. Marina told the publication: “Don’t just use your eye cream at night. Use it under your makeup in the morning too – it makes wrinkles less noticeable.”

She continued to say that she advises older clients to switch to a “tinted moisturiser or one of the new liquid skin tints. It’s more flattering on older skin”.

You can get the NARS Cosmetics Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturiser which contains an SPF30 for £27 – saving almost 30% thanks to their huge sale, if you click here you can buy it now.

Her top tip was to avoid any form of shimmer at all costs and is totally against using highlighter products on the Queen.

Another tip was correctly applying blusher on your face, Marina continued: “Apply the blusher a bit higher than you’d normally think; not in the middle of the cheek but on top of the cheekbones. Just a tiny amount. It can lift the face.”

Before adding that you should not match your eyebrows to your hairstyle – you must shop around to find a “colour that’s flattering for you”.

elf Cosmetics Instant Lift Brow Pencil comes in a set of two and is just £5. It features a dual-ended precision eyebrow pencil where you can brush out your strokes – you can buy it now if you click here.
