Royal style watchers were sent into overdrive as Lady Eliza Spencer and Lady Amelia Spencer stepped out at the UK premiere of Wuthering Heights last week, proving that Princess Diana’s fashion legacy is not just remembered – it’s evolving through a new generation. The twins, 33, arrived in chic looks that blended modern red-carpet polish with old-world royal glamour.

Both Eliza and Amelia opted for striking designs by Magda Butrym, a designer renowned for sculptural silhouettes and romantic drama. The dresses hugged the body with precision, playing with texture, structure and subtle detailing rather than excess embellishment.

Taking to Instagram, fans were left stunned by their ensembles on the red carpet and penned: “Oh my goodness just stunning.” A second added: “You are Diana’s double. She would be so proud.”

Meanwhile, a third reference suggested the twins appeared as a “double” of the film’s star, Margot Robbie, who takes on the leading role of Catherine Earnshaw, writing: “Omg you girls look insane!! Margot could be your another Spencer sister.”

The women paired their gowns with towering heels by Christian Louboutin, completing the look with sparkling pieces by Tiffany & Co.

Their necklaces alone were reportedly worth thousands, adding instant glamour and unmistakable red-carpet credibility. The diamonds caught the light without overwhelming the looks – a styling approach Diana herself often favoured. Yet it was their choice of handbags that truly sent royal fashion fans into a frenzy.

Both sisters were snapped carrying statement pieces from Aspinal of London, a label famously loved by Princess Catherine and Zara Tindall.

The structured silhouettes, top-handle designs and rich finishes felt perfectly in step with the sisters’ polished aesthetic – and firmly rooted in royal style tradition.

The bags form part of Aspinal of London’s newly launched Wuthering Heights collection, a romantic capsule edit inspired by Wuthering Heights, directed by Emerald Fennell.

Drawing on the passion, intensity and drama of the Emily Brontë classic, the collection features statement pieces in deep red and black colourways – shades that feel both timeless and emotionally charged.
