From Thursday, July 18, 2024, Pret’s signature 100 percent organic Arabica Filter Coffee will be available for just 99p, down from £1.80. Plus, the classic All Butter Croissant will be available for £1.99, down from £2.30.
These prices are reminiscent of earlier times when Pret held these prices for more than a decade.
Pret A Manger’s UK and Ireland Managing Director (MD), Clare Clough, explained: “It’s almost four years since we introduced our coffee subscription at the height of the pandemic, and I’m proud of the role Club Pret has played for us and our customers since.
“Given the majority of our customers are not Club Pret subscribers, our priority now is to focus on better value for everyone.”
Clare said: “By making these changes, we are underlining our commitment to providing better value for all our Pret customers, as well as the Pret quality and service you’ve come to know and expect.”
This announcement follows price reductions earlier this year on other popular items, including the Free-Range Egg Mayo sandwich and Pole and Line Caught Tuna baguettes.
Price drops aren’t the only thing Pret is doing to shake things up – another big change is on the horizon from September 2024.
Clare revealed: “The current subscription benefits will end in September and be replaced by a new and simpler offer.”
She elaborated: “Club Pret subscribers will get 50 percent off up to five Barista made drinks a day for a reduced monthly fee of £10.”
Existing Club Pret customers – and new subscribers – can enjoy the benefits of membership for “just £5”, Clare confirmed, “until March 31, 2025”.
Clare noted: “This also means we will remove the 20 percent discount on food and get rid of dual pricing across our food products – something we never really got comfortable with.”
