Getting a high-quality grooming tool can be a fantastic addition to one’s routine, making mornings faster, providing less hassle and most importantly, giving a great-looking shave. Luckily, whether shoppers are after a gift or treat for him, a ‘convenient’ shaver providing a ‘fantastic shave’ is currently at its lowest price with Argos.

The Philips Series 7000 Wet & Dry Electric Shaver is currently priced at £140, which Argos says is its lowest price. With a close cut ‘even on three-day beards’, according to the brand, it’s usable wet or dry and equipped with 45 self-sharpening blades across its three rotors, totalling 90,000 cutting actions per minute for a smooth, clean finish.

It even adapts to hair density with the AI powered SkinIQ app, meaning the razor adjusts itself to protect skin. Its micro-bead coating reduces friction and irritation ‘up to 30%’ compared to non-coated material, according to the brand.

Its rechargeable battery can hold one hour of charge while five minutes of quick-charge is enough for a single shave. Being cordless, it’s easily manoeuvrable with the added benefit of portability for travel with its included carry case.

There’s also an included quick clean pod which works by using the motor to force fluid through its shaving head. The USB-A charging cable is included for added convenience.

With a pop-up trimmer designed for sideburns and moustaches, the Philips shaver includes everything a shopper might need from shaping and trimming, to full clean shaves. It also comes with a manufacturer’s five-year guarantee for added peace of mind.

As an alternative, buyers could look at Amazon’s SweetLF Electric Razor for Men currently priced at £26.57, down from £42.99, saving a handy 38%. With more than 4,000 bought in the past month, Amazon says, it has an average rating of 4.3 out of five stars. With a 4D floating head, it’s designed to glide along skin, while its IPX7 waterproofing puts buyers’ mind at ease when using it with gel and foam, or even in the shower.

Those after a bargain friendly deal could also check out Boots’ Braun Series 9 PRO+ Electric Shaver, currently priced at £180, down from £499.99, saving a massive £319.99. With a battery offering an hour of cordless runtime and a five minute quick-charge capability, it’s designed for close shaves with its beard density analysing technology.

Back to the Philips Series 7000 Wet & Dry Electric Shaver, Argos shoppers were surprised with how convenient and easy it was to use. One said: “I have been without an electric razor for far too long and decided to treat myself. I had forgotten just how convenient these were, not to mention the fantastic shave you get. Coupled with the self-cleaning pod, it’s shaving simplified. Fantastic product, well worth the money.”

Another added: “This is an upgrade from my previous Philips shave which I have had for some 20 years. I wanted a change and figured the new one would have better technology, materials and be easy to use. It is bigger to hold, but very comfortable and as light as a feather. It gives you info after your shave using the app and instant pictograms on the shaver itself. It charges fast using USB instead of the usual shaver socket/adapter which is more convenient. There seem to be less holes to capture hairs on the cutters, but they are still efficient.”

A third said: “Outstanding shaver. So quiet. The battery lasts forever. Wet and dry shaves are amazing. Best shaver I’ve ever owned.”

Some shoppers left feedback, however. One said: “I wanted a better shave than my current razor. On that score it delivers. The app for this seems pretty pointless to me. The 5 stars are for the shave quality and the price via Argos. All in all I am very happy with my purchase.”

Another added: “Great all round razer, reasonably priced. Still trying to get my head around the app, and why you need an app to use a razor. But all in all a great replacement for my old Philips razor.”

The Philips Series 7000 Wet & Dry Electric Shaver can be found at Argos.
