Switching out the bins is a household task universally loathed.
Some prefer to turn a blind eye, while others assign the grim duty to someone specific in the household. Despite our feelings towards it, refreshing our bins is a chore that, regrettably, all homes need to tackle periodically.
We’re all too familiar with the annoyance of changing bin bags and the struggle of setting one up without it toppling straight into the rubbish. For those who dread this chore, an Instagram user shared a nifty life hack that could simplify your life.
The user, @itsnaomimeyer, who enjoys a following of 5,500 people, took to social media to express her newfound knowledge. She said: “I was today years old when I found out garbage bags come inside out in the box. Install like this and they are right side up!”
Accompanying her revelation was the message: “Now I feel like a dumb dumb.”
Skeptics were invited to witness a demonstration through a brief video showcasing this life-altering technique. In a grateful tone, she offered: “You’re welcome.”
And it turns out many of her followers were just as astonished by the hack. One commented: “So I’ve been scaring my cats for no reason all this time.”
Someone else professed: “I legit just Googled this… mind-blown.” A third person exclaimed: “Wait? What?” And yet another said: “Lol what? I had no idea.”
Several other users acknowledged finding the tip to be “handy to know”.
Looking for more life hacks? It comes as people were left mind-blown after discovering a hidden use for a hole in one special key.
In a post on the Today Years Old account, which boasts 1million followers, the page wrote: “How old were you when you discovered what this is for?”
At the time it was posted, it garnered a massive 1.6million views with 7,500 likes and hundreds of comments. Now have you ever wondered?
In the video, it shows the special key which is often used as a tool for drilling through wood. And in order to complete a perfect circle, you need the hole to allow you to draw the shape with ease.
It’s basically like a compass you use for a maths lesson, but for a DIY job. Mind-blowing right?
