The sky won’t be the limit for children who dream of buying a ticket to space if they find a ‘Golden Ticket’ worth £5000.
When asked what they would do with the cash prize from Frubes, one in 10 children revealed they would splash the cash on a ticket to space, while half (49 percent) would be heading straight to the toy shop.
Children across the UK recently revealed their spending plans if they find the ‘Golden Ticket’ in the Willy Wonka-style hunt. Sweets were a top option, with four out of 10 kids wanting to splash the cash on their favourite sweet treats, while 40 per cent were dreaming of a nice holiday.
In the poll of 2000 children aged between 5 and 12, many were dreaming big with 13 per cent wanting to buy their own zoo, and 12 per cent have got their sights set on moving into a mansion with their winnings.
The research was commissioned by Frubes, from Yoplait, to celebrate the launch of its ‘Golden Ticket’ competition which runs until the 16 October, where families have the chance to find one of five golden tickets hidden in three limited-edition packs, with the cash prizes ranging from £1000 to £5000.
Over half of the kids said they’d feel rich if they did find the ‘Golden Ticket’, and many of which were quite sensible with their plans for their imaginary fortune, as 67 per cent said they would save half of it and invest up to £2000.
Most of the children (71 per cent) showed their generous spirit, stating that they would share their prize money with their families and 12 per cent would even give a donation to charity.
A Frubes spokesperson, Vandu Patel, said: “It’s really touching to see the imaginative and generous plans kids would have for their winnings, from indulging in toys and sweets to saving for the future and donating to charity. Our ‘Golden Ticket’ competition is designed to inspire dreams and create unforgettable moments for families.”
