Oh What Fun is streaming on Prime Video and the Christmas comedy has already been hailed a triumph, with huge names like Michelle Pfeiffer receiving critical acclaim.
The Hollywood star, according to Deadline, has “all the heart and smarts you would expect of someone with that kind of filmography”. Pfeiffer, also known for her roles in period dramas plays Claire Clauster, a mother of three grown children who is taken for granted.
At Christmas time in particular, she spends months preparing to make it just right for her family, but never gets the credit she deserves. It is not until she goes missing that her family realise how much she does for them.
The film is based on Chandler Baker’s original short story of the same name, and with a star-studded cast attached, fans expected big things from the festive picture.

Claire Clauster – Michelle Pfeiffer
Michelle Pfeiffer leads the film and she is a 67-year-old American actress and producer who became one of the most sought-after stars in Hollywood in the 80s and 90s.
She is known for her roles in Scarface, Married to the Mob, Love Field and Hairspray. She became established as one of the highest-paid actresses of the 90s before reducing her workload in the 2000s to focus on her family.
She is married to TV writer David E. Kelley and has two children.
Channing Clauster – Felicity Jones
Claire’s daughter Channing is played by Felicity Jones, a 42-year-old English actress known for her roles in The Theory of Everything and The Brutalist.
She began acting as a child, playing Ethel Hallow for one series of The Worst Witch. The star is married to Charles Guard and has two children.
Taylor Clauster – Chloë Grace Moretz
Taylor is played by Chloë Grace Moretz, a 28-year-old American actress who began her career as a child.
Her breakthrough role was as Hit-Girl in the superhero film Kick-A**. Her other major credits include Dark Shadows, Carrie and Desperate Housewives.
She is married to model Kate Harrison.

Morgan – Danielle Brooks
Danielle Brooks is a 36-year-old American actress known for her role as Tasha “Taystee” Jefferson in Orange is the New Black.
She went on to make her Broadway debut in The Color Purple, for which she earned a nomination for a Tony Award as well as a Grammy Award.
The star reprised the role of Sofia in the 2023 film adaptation for which she was nominated for an Oscar, BAFTA, and Golden Globe Award.
Sammy Clauster – Dominic Sessa
Dominic Sessa is a 23-year-old American actor who played a troubled teenager in Alexander Payne’s The Holdovers, which earned him a BAFTA nomination.
His other film credits include Tow, Now You See Me: Now You Don’t and Tony.
Nick Clauster – Denis Leary
Denis Leary, who plays Claire’s husband in the film, is a 68-year-old American stand-up comedian and actor. He is known for his roles in The Job and Rescue Me.
Fans may also recognise him as Captain George Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man. He is married to Ann Lembeck and has two children.

Lizzie Wang-Wasserman – Havana Rose Liu
Havana Rose Liu is a 28-year-old American actress and model best known for her lead role in the comedy film Bottoms.
She made her acting debut in 2021 with a supporting role in the action drama film Mayday, and had a minor role in Netflix‘s The Chair.
Mae-bell – Maude Apatow
Maude Apatow is a 27-year-old American actress known for her role as Lexi Howard in the HBO drama series Euphoria.
She comes from a famous family, with her father being filmmaker Judd Apatow and her mother being actress Leslie Mann.
Her credits include Knocked Up, Funny People and the Netflix miniseries Hollywood.
Donna – Devery Jacobs
Devery Jacobs is a 32-year-old Canadian Mohawk actress who played the lead character in Rhymes for Young Ghouls.
She has also starred in American Gods, and had a leading role in the acclaimed TV series Reservation Dogs.

Jason Schwartzman is a 45-year-old American actor and musician who comes from the Coppola family – an Italian-American family of artists in the entertainment industry.
He is known for working with Wes Anderson and has starred in seven of his films, including Rushmore and The Grand Budapest Hotel.
Fans may also recognise him as Gideon Graves in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and Scott Pilgrim Takes Off.
Zazzy Tims – Eva Longoria
Eva Longoria is a 50-year-old American actress and director known for her roles in Desperate Housewives and The Young and the Restless.
She also founded UnbeliEVAble Entertainment, a film and television production company, in 2005 and has executive-produced various TV series.
She received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2018 and her other business ventures include opening a restaurant and publishing a cookbook.
Jeanne Wang-Wasserman – Joan Chen
Joan Chen is a Chinese-born American actress and film director known for her role in the historical film The Last Emperor.
She is best known on TV for her roles in Twin Peaks, Hemingway & Gellhorn and Netflix series Marco Polo.
Jane – Rose Abdoo
Rose Abdoo is a 63-year-old American actress and comedian known for her roles in Gilmore Girls and That’s So Raven.
