Next customers warned to stop using two home products ‘immediately’

Next is recalling two of its holiday season products after they discovered there is a potential risk of customers accidentally ingesting the material. Customers are asked to stop using the products “immediately” and return them to their nearest Next store as soon as possible for a full refund.

A gingerbread-themed nibble bowl and serving board have been found to have an issue with their enamel layer, and it is cracking and chipping while in use. It creates a risk that anyone using the products may swallow pieces of the material, which could cause injury.

Next have shared that these products did not meet their “strict, technical specifications” and are asking customers to get in contact to return these items.

They said: “If you have given this item as a gift, please ask the recipient to contact Next as soon as possible. We’re very sorry for any disappointment and inconvenience this may cause.”

What should you know about these items?

The Gingerbread Nibble Bowl is brown on the outside, with a festive gingerbread design on the inside. The item number is AN8859

The Gingerbread Serveboard is shaped like a gingerbread man, with a green scarf and white trim for decoration. The item number is AW2-342.

The Next website reads: “As the Gingerbread Serveboard doesn’t meet our strict, technical specifications, we’ve taken the precaution of recalling them, and request that you return your Gingerbread Serveboard to us immediately for a full refund.”

How can you refund these recalled items?

You can simply travel to your nearest Next Store with the item, or arrange a collection by calling Next at 0333 777 8000 and selecting option 1.
