Netflix’s latest romantic-comedy sensation is currently the most-viewed film on the streaming giant, with countless viewers tuning in over the weekend.

Launched last Friday (12th September), the heart-fluttering and laugh-out-loud new flick stars the lead from one of the most iconic teen shows ever, which has recently made a comeback.

It’s presently holding the top spot on Netflix‘s film chart, outperforming recent popular releases such as The Thursday Murder Club and KPop Demon Hunters.

If you’ve not yet given it a watch, consider this your cue to move The Wrong Paris with Miranda Cosgrove to the top of your viewing list this week.

However, upon arrival with a group of eccentric contestants, she quickly realises they’ve been tricked and sent to Paris, Texas instead – less than an hour away from her hometown.

Despite her determination to escape, she finds herself charmed by the wealthy, single cowboy on offer, Trey McAllen (played by Pierson Fodé).

The Wrong Paris has already garnered praise from fans who binged the new rom-com over the weekend, with hundreds of five-star Google reviews for this guilty pleasure that’s impossible not to fall head over heels for.

One delighted response declared: “The Wrong Paris is the best rom-com I have seen in a very long time. I sat riveted for the 1 hr and 47 min movie, which I hardly ever do.

“The characters, Dawn and Trey have such chemistry and the cinematography was on point.”

They continued to confess: “I loved the movie so much, that I watched it again today! It is going to be my new go to rom-com on Netflix.”

Another viewer gushed: “Absolutely darling movie! I usually don’t watch the latest rom coms that are out today. So many of them come across as incredibly cheesy, predictable and provide no true humor.

“The Wrong Paris took me away for a couple of hours after a long work week. I laughed throughout the entire movie. I was left with an overall great feeling about life and that I had been thoroughly entertained. I miss these types of movies.”

A further fan concurred: “Okay as someone who loves a rom-com and also loves reality tv show this was like my dream movie!!!!!

“It had me hooked the whole time and it even had me belly laughing at one point and I was even crying at some point as well so it allowed me to feel all my feelings and it was overall an amazing movie.”

Discussion carried on via X where one enthusiast remarked: “The Wrong Paris on Netflix is actually such a good romcom. It’s about damn time.”

And one final fan declared it the streaming giant’s finest romantic comedy since a popular 2018 release: “Just finished watching the wrong paris and was pleasantly surprised how cute it was!! the best netflix romcom since set it up imo.”

Will you be embarking on a journey to Paris, Texas alongside Dawn and Trey this week?

The Wrong Paris is available to stream on Netflix.
