A resident has shared their horror story of a neighbour from hell who has been so nasty they “regret” buying their house.
The anonymous complainant shared their problems with the neighbour, explaining she crossed the line when she started targeting their beloved pet.
The disgruntled homeowner posted to the r/NeighboursfromHell Reddit page where members of the public suggested putting cameras in place in case the situation gets any worse, but the escalating conflict with the neighbour has shown no signs of letting up.
The resident had managed to put up with their neighbour up to a point, but was left with no choice but to build a fence.
This fence has caused further complications for, who is now left fending off complaints from their angry next-door neighbour.
In a post to the subdreddit, they explained: “I’m starting to regret buying my house. I bought my house a year ago, on my own and to begin with my neighbour was nice enough until she realised I bought the house and it wasn’t my parents. Since then, she has been arguing about my dogs who she winds up and then complains they come over to the wall.
“To clarify, behind the 4ft wall is a 6 foot fence, so there is absolutely no way my dogs could get into her garden. The neighbour has made false reports to the local dog warden citing my dogs’ behaviour being ‘inappropriate’ having had the dog warden round they are happy there are no issues with my either of my dogs behaviour and also noted that the garden is fully enclosed.”
Despite the dogs being unable to make their way into the neighbouring property, the resident of the next-door house has hardly been placated – far from it, as they have started throwing things onto the property and are aiing saucepans full of water at the dogs.
The resident continued: “Recently the neighbour has escalated to attempting to throw saucepans of water at my dogs.
“I’m currently in the process of erecting a fence on my side of the wall to ensure she can no longer spy through her fence into my garden and wind the dogs up.
“This evening she threw another pot of water into my garden almost landing on me after attempting to knock my fence post down with a brush she then proceeded to call me stupid as well as shouting profanity at me because my partially built fence is a ‘monstrosity’.”
Members of the public now believe the best course of action is to catch their neighbour in the act with security cameras.
One person wrote: “Please put up cameras to monitor activity in your garden area.” Another warned: “She sounds like the type who will poison your dogs. If you had video of her throwing water on you that could be called assault. Build your case against her, protect your dogs.”
A third shared: “Get the water on tape, make a police report, and have a cease and desist order sent immediately. This is your house so established firm ground!”
