“It’s no secret that Marks and Spencer’s 2025 fashion and homeware collections are some of the best on the high street, and as a fashion writer, I’ve been coveting everything from the retailer’s viral jackets to their chic party dresses,” said Jessica Brunt, a fashion writer for Reach PLC.
Marks and Spencer don’t take part in Black Friday in the classic sense, but they do run a November sale every year at the same time, and this year, there is up to 50% off fashion. Jessica has scoured the sale to select some of her must-buy items, including cosy knitwear and stylish statement pieces perfect for Christmas.
However, she predicts these Marks and Spencer items will fly off the shelves, so she recommends shoppers act swiftly if they have something on their wishlist, reports Bristol Live.
Soft Poly Collarless Jacket – £32.50 (was £65)

Available in UK sizes six to 20, this chic collarless jacket has already sold out in sizes 22 and 24, so it’s one to snap up soon.
“The wearable ivory tone pairs beautifully with various trousers, and the nipped-in silhouette creates a flattering appearance,” said Jessica.
She added that the jacket is versatile and could be worn on multiple occasions, whether that’s office wear or weekend outings.
With a customer satisfaction score of 4.8 out of five stars, one shopper said: “I love this jacket, it fits perfectly, it’s really good quality, and it’s very reasonably priced. Not sure if they do it in black, would buy one if they did.”
However, one buyer said: “Well made but designed for the tall.”
Slim Single Breasted Blazer – £24.75 (was £49.50)

“A blazer remains a wardrobe essential throughout the year,” said Jessica. “I favour mine oversized, so I would go up a couple of sizes in this single-breasted style.”
Customers can select from UK sizes six through to 24, and it’s also offered in both petite and regular lengths. One Marks and Spencer shopper said: “A very versatile jacket that can be worn with jeans or smart items. I have been promising myself a navy blazer for a while. Great price too.”
However, it’s worth noting for those who tend to carry a lot around, one shopper felt the item was lacking in pockets, stating: “A good jacket, but not having functioning pockets lets it down.”
Another reviewer praised the fit, commenting: “Lovely jacket. Fits well and looks great with jeans.”
Faux Leather Embellished Mini Shift Dress – £30 (was £60)

Shoppers can snap up the faux leather embellished mini shift dress in UK sizes six to 24 and can choose from three lengths: petite, regular and tall. “Perfect for layering or even wearing alone this party season, it can be paired with a faux fur jacket to soften the look,” added Jessica.
In a review, a shopper said: “A beautiful dress, great fit and luxurious feel.”
However, another added: “I was really disappointed by this dress – I tried two sizes; one of which was too loose and the other too tight. It’s a lovely piece, but the sizing is odd.”
Jacquard Collarless Jacket – £24.75 (was £49.50)

Described as a “jacket for every occasion” by one Marks and Spencer shopper, the jacquard collarless jacket has an all-over rose pattern and statement gold-toned fastenings.
One shopper even said they think it looks “more expensive than it is”. They added: “Great fit and looks very smart with a dress, jeans or trousers.”
Another person added: “Lovely jacket in a lovely fabric and just what I was looking for.”
Cotton Blend Textured Button Front Cropped Cardigan – £18 (was £36)

Available in red or navy, this button-front cardigan is ideal for pairing with jeans or wide-leg trousers. Available in sizes XS to XL, the knit is also great for layering.
With a review score of 4.5 out of five stars on the M&S website, one customer remarked: “Very elegant with beautiful buttons that make it so chic.”
The cropped length makes the knit perfect for pairing with high-waisted bottoms, and it would also complement all types of jacket lengths. It’s worth mentioning, though, that one shopper encountered an issue with the fabric, stating: “Nice short-sleeved top, but I found the material heavy and thick. Returned.”
