Korean skincare tip to stop puffiness in minutes using common item

There’s nothing worse than waking up in the morning, heading to the mirror, and finding your face has gone all puffy. It’s a very common occurence after snoozing at night, but unfortunately it can make you look even more tired.

It’s really not ideal if you’ve slept in and have somewhere to be. So if you’re looking for a quick fix on how to banish that puffiness, look no further than one Korean skincare tip which is said to reduce it in just 10 minutes. Even better, you only need one common household item to do so.

Dermatologist Dr David Kim took to TikTok to show off this unusual hack – which involves nothing more than fastening rubber bands to your ears.

He hailed it as the ‘biggest beauty hack in Korea right now’, claiming it can banish puffiness in as little as 10 minutes.

Putting it to the test, fellow skincare expert Kirti Tewani tried this bizarre hack in a video of her own. And the results were immediately clear to see.

Showing off one side of her face, which was significantly less puffy than the other, she said: “It’s only been five minutes but do you see the difference here and here?”

It was obvious that her skin looked so much more bright and lifted on the side with the elastic band, more supple, and the dark undereye circles were even less visible too.

Pointing to the elastic band on her ear, she confirmed that the trick was definitely effective. And people in the comments were also blown away as well.

One person asked: “Does your face go back to normal after you remove the bands?” to which the expert replied: “No, it depuffs.”

Another commented: “God I love this app!! Thank you!!”

A third wrote: “I knew my 1 messy drawer was there for a reason! It took 10 years, but I finally can take something out! Old rubber bands!”
