Last year, Keanu Reeves bowed out of his iconic assassin role in John Wick: Chapter 4.
We saw him dying and even his gravestone, but fans are convinced the character could still be alive.
In the meantime, what is essentially John Wick 3.5 will be released next year as a spin-off called Ballerina.
The film is set during the events of John Wick: Chapter 3—Parabellum (six months prior to Chapter 4). It follows Bond girl Ana de Armas as Eve Macarro, a dancer turned assassin.
In the first explosive trailer, Ian McShane reprises Continental manager Winston Scott alongside the late Lance Reddick, who died at the age of 60 just prior to the release of John Wick Chapter 4 last year.
His character Charon also died in the fourth movie, but he shot his scenes for the prequel spin-off Ballerina in 2022.
The late actor also features as talking head in the new Ballerina featurette which includes more footage of Reeves’ return as Wick.
Alongside Anjelica Huston reprising The Director from the third film, Norman Reedus joins the cast as a mysterious man called Daniel Pine.
We wouldn’t be surprised if Wick and Ballerina team up in the inevitable John Wick: Chapter 5.
From the World of John Wick: Ballerina hits UK cineast on June 6, 2025.
