
Two children’s craft products have been recalled by the manufacturer, following a recall by the craft shop Hobbycraft. The product recall has been issued due to the sand included in the kits potentially being contaminated with a small amount of asbestos.
Sand kits by Colour Forge are used to help create textured ground surfaces on miniature bases, dioramas and wargaming terrains, according to consumer website Which?. These products pose a health risk to consumers, and are being advised to stop using them immediately. They should also be kept out of reach of children.
Asbestos is a banned substance because it poses a risk to health even at low levels of exposure.
The products affected by the recall include:
- The Colour Forge Basing Sand – Moss Green
- The Colour Forge Basing Sand – Atlantiko Blue
Those products sold by Hobbycraft have the product code 6873931000.
