Boots is offering incredible deals on beauty products today including one anti-ageing serum that’s been praised by Dame Helen Mirren.

Beauty buffs can expect savings on the No7 HydraLuminous range, along with price-cuts on hair treatments, tanning buys and electronic toothbrush replacement heads, but there is one reduced L’Oreal product that skincare fans will surely be rushing to buy.

The L’Oreal Rosy Oil Serum, originally priced at £24.99, is now reduced to £10 for a limited time. Loved by 78-year-old actress Helen Mirren, the “firming” skincare buy is designed to provide the “efficency of a serum and the nourishment of an oil”.

The Oscar winner revealed what’s in her beauty bag in an interview with a fashion magazine and said there are two affordable products that add “radiance” to her skin.

Picking up the Rosy Oil Serum, she said: “This is particularly lovely because it gives you this very light sort of colour, but it’s quite recently that I’ve been using this – I think it’s only come out in the last year, I don’t know.

“I’m not very on top of these things. I’ve only discovered it in the last year, put it that way and that’s something I really really like.”

Packed in a pink-hue glass bottle, the serum is formulated with an ultra-rich blend of peony native cells, calcium and vitamin B3, to plump skin with hydration and deliver radiance.

It’s non-greasy and specially designed for dry, dull and mature skin, aiming to reinforce the complexion’s barrier function.

Apply a few drops of the serum onto clean, dry skin every morning and night before moisturiser. You can also apply it on the neck as well.

More than 300 customers have bought and tried the serum, and one agreed with Dame Mirren: “Easy to apply and not greasy, I use this serum under the Golden Age Rosy moisturiser and skin feels lovely and gives a great glow!”

Another shared: “I wake up to a rosy glow and soft, silky skin! I’ve used the eye cream and night cream from Age Perfect Rosy range and this is my third bottle of facial oil. I love it, it’s so light and non-greasy and it melts into skin. Great results!”

A third said: “It’s a bit too early to tell whether my skin has improved. However I love the way this product absorbs and makes my face feel hydrated immediately after use.”

But some said the serum left their skin feeling dry. Shoppers can now save £14.99 and get the L’Oreal Rosy Oil Serum for £10.

For those who have dry skin, Garnier’s Ultimate Serum Duo – which includes a 3.5% vitamin C serum and a 3% hyaluronic acid serum – is worth a try. Currently reduced from £25.98 to £12.99, the set works to revive dull complexions and visibly brighten skin.
