Gardening can be an incredibly therapeutic hobby, however it can cause pains and strains if the tools you are using are not designed for comfort. Thankfully, there are options out there that can make the gardening experience more enjoyable. This includes the KLEVA Comfort Ergonomic Garden Tools that are currently on sale.
Shopping marketplace Yimbly (owned by the Daily Express parent company Reach Plc) is now offering £20 off the set of four tools that have 90 degree handles to ‘make gardening so much easier’, bringing the price down from £39.99 to £19.99. This makes them cheaper than other gardening kits on the market, such as the similar Black + Decker Four Piece Garden Tool Set which costs £24.99 at B&Q.
The KLEVA kit includes a trowel, fork, cultivator and weeder which are all ergonomically designed for ‘perfect wrist alignment’ to reduce strain and require less strength. The compact and lightweight tools are made from a durable and sturdy carbon steel and are designed for people of all ages, ailments and strength levels. This includes arthritis sufferers or anyone looking for minimal effort while gardening, and they’re suitable for and both left and right-handed gardeners.
The ‘tough-trowel’ is perfect for transplanting bedding plants and herbs, while the ‘fast-fork’ pushes easily into the ground to rake out stones and break up soil. The ‘comfy-cultivator’ is great for mixing and breaking up soil or compost after planting or weeding, and the ‘garden-weeder’ is handy for removing specific weeds.
The KLEVA Comfort Ergonomic Garden Tools currently have no reviews on Yimbly, however over on High Street TV, where they are being sold for the usual retail price of £39.99, they boast a five-star rating. One impressed customer wrote: “Absolutely lovely hand tools. I’m disabled so they are brilliant for me. Good strong grip better than my old ones, brilliant for anyone with arthritis or carpal tunnel syndrome too.”
When asked if the gardening tools could be improved, they replied: “You cannot improve perfection.” Another shopper awarded the set five stars and said: “I have arthritis in my hands and these are brilliant. I can hold them properly. Easy to hold and work with.” However, when asked if the product could be improved, they noted: “Stronger fork, as it tends to bend.”
You can buy the KLEVA Comfort Ergonomic Garden Tools from Yimbly here for £19.99 while the sale is live. The alternative Black + Decker Four Piece Garden Tool Set costs £24.99 at B&Q and includes a trowel, transplanter, fan rake and knee pad.
Elsewhere, Amazon is selling a Jardineer Garden Tool Set priced at £19.99. It comprises a trowel, hand fork, transplanter and hand weeder, however they have straight wooden handles, so have not been ergonomically designed.
