Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale is finally here, with the cast of the famous ITV period drama saying an emotional farewell after 15 years.
The final film of the Downton Abbey franchise, directed by Simon Curtis from a screenplay by Julian Fellowes, hit UK cinemas yesterday (September 12).
Fans have been left in tears as the show’s beloved characters waved a final goodbye, with one warning on Rotten Tomatoes: “Take tissues”.
Another wrote: “They wrapped up the whole saga so well. I was crying. Beautiful and triumphant.”
A third added: “Loved this movie. It wrapped up loose ends and answered questions. The ending did make me cry. I’m very sorry to see it over.”
