The Princess of Wales beamed as she arrived in Wales on Tuesday afternoon, where she is spending the day visiting textile manufacturers to celebrate the heritage, creativity and craftsmanship of Welsh textile manufacturers. Catherine, who has long been passionate about the importance of the British textile industry, wore dark green trousers and a matching roll neck jumper with a striking printed orange wool coat over the top.
Her contrasting outfit was worn with her long brunette hair swept into a half-up-half-down style and a gorgeous smokey eye. Today, the princess is hoping to shine a light on then unique skills and traditions of the British textile industry.
She kickstarted her day trip by visiting Melin Tregwynt, a woollen mill weaving traditional Welsh designs in a remote wooded valley on the Pembrokeshire coast, where she was praised for her skills wit ha needle and thread.

The future queen was shown the whole production process, from the weaving of the woollen cloth to finishing details added to the fabrics.
When offered the chance in the quality control department to help repair a broken thread in a roll of fabric, she bent over the reversible cloth, guided by staff member Paula Harding, and said: “You have to have really good eyesight and patience.”
Kate completed a small 2in repair and Ms Harding said later: “She did it right, it’s amazing, and she didn’t go through the other side, that’s skill – she’s got the skill.”
After being told Ms Harding was the third generation of her family to work at Melin Tregwynt, based near Fishguard, the princess said: “That’s what’s wonderful about these family businesses, they’re so based on these families and intergenerations passing on these techniques.”

The mill focuses on combining traditional patterns with beautiful colour and innovative design, to create woollen blankets, scarves and cushions that are sold across the world.
The mill has been in continuous operation since at least 1841 and is still weaving today, employing over 40 local people.
Her ensemble was quietly powerful, that doubled as a heartfelt tribute to Wales. The 44-yearold, embraced local heritage through her fashion choices.

It is believed her coat was bespoke, crafted using textiles produced at the mill itself, making the outfit feel deeply rooted in place and tradition.
She paired the meaningful outerwear with elegant Victoria Beckham high-waist flared trousers in the rich Oregano shade, grounding the look in modern polish.
Altogether, the look felt like a thoughtful blend of contemporary tailoring and cultural respect.
It was a reminder that Catherine understands the power of diplomatic dressing, using fashion not just to look the part, but to honour the people and places she visits.
