With a recent rise in a more vintage way of listening to music, many young people are ditching streaming services and replacing them with CDs and vinyl, or even cassettes.

Discogs have recently published a list of the most valuable cassettes ever sold on their website, and you may have some in your collection without realising.

4. Untieddiaries 1979-87

At number four is not a single cassette, but rather a collection of tapes.

Untieddiaries 1979-87 is a combination of the entire works released on the label United Diaries, and it sold for $1,666 (£1,217).

Owners say that the 32 tapes often contain duplicates, along with missing titles.

3. Xero

Number three on the list is the self-titled first and only cassette from the band Xero. Xero failed to achieve success, and so disbanded and became Hybrid Theory, which then went on to become Linkin Park.

Very few copies exist, and this adds to the reason as to why it sold for a whopping $3,260 (£2,381).
