Jones Road Miracle Balm is now 20% cheaper for Black Friday

Black Friday fever is officially here, and even though there’s still over a week to go until the official day (November 27), Jones Road has kicked off things early with its first-ever site-wide sale, slashing prices by up to 20% (plus there are even more savings to be had when you spend a certain amount).

One item that immediately caught my eye in the sale was the Miracle Balm, which I tried out earlier this year and absolutely fell in love with. The Miracle Balm is a multi-tasking, skin-tinting, glow-boosting all-rounder that can be used as a highlighter, blush, bronzer, and even more.

The Miracle Balm is essentially a sheer, light-reflecting tint that can be used as a blush, bronzer, highlighter, or even on the lips. Shades range from completely translucent to deeper rosy and bronze tones. You have to break the surface, warm the balm between your fingers, then blend it in sparingly. Once I did that, the texture melted beautifully, almost like a solid facial oil softening on contact.

It comes in 50g pots and is available in 12 shades ranging from a very sheer pale pink that’s suitable for highlighting and blush, through to corals and bronzes that can be used for contouring and bronzing, plus a clear balm for simple glossing.

One of the things I particularly loved about the balm is its low-maintenance nature, in keeping with Jones Road’s ethos of ‘no makeup makeup’, as well as how dewy and youthful it left my complexion.

I’m not someone who wears a full face of makeup; most days, it’s tinted moisturiser and SPF, so I was drawn to the promise of something that makes skin look fresh and alive without looking too overdone.

Earlier this year, I tried out three different colours of the balm as part of the limited-edition Miracle Balm Palette. It included the colours Pinched Cheeks (a pink), Sunkissed (a bronze), and Pink Champagne (a golden highlighter, though this isn’t available to buy on its own). The palette is no longer for sale on the Jones Road website, but it is available at Liberty for the reduced price of £30.60.

My favourite was definitely Pinched Cheeks, and I’d love to try Happy Hour, which is a very pale, sheer pink, and now that Jones Road has knocked money off its full-size pots, I’m very tempted to try it out.

Because of how natural it looks, I’ve been wearing it all day, and the colour on my cheeks will still be going strong by the evening. It’s also incredibly quick, which is ideal if you’re someone who prefers using your fingers over brushes.

It’s not perfect, of course. If I leave it on whilst I’m at the gym, or on particularly toasty days, the balm can feel too sticky, and I notice my hair catching on my face. A few shoppers mention this too, including one who said: “This feels very greasy and stays that way for hours. I use blush as a face powder on top of this for more colour and to kill the stickiness. Otherwise, my hair would be sticking to my face.”

But overall, most fans rave about the glow and the ease of use. One user added: “This is so great to put on before makeup. Don’t really even need moisturiser.” And another person wrote: “I love it! I love the ‘no-make-up make-up look’, and it feels soft and very protective, especially in the wind and cold!”

If you prefer matte formulas or have very oily skin, this won’t be your holy grail. But for a low-effort, skin-first look, it’s ideal.

If you already know your favourite shade, the reduction is a great opportunity to save money, and the more you buy, the bigger the discount you’ll receive. Purchasing one item will get you 10% off, totals over £55 will get 15% off, and over £75 will get 20% off.

The sale also covers other favourites across the range, including the Hippie Stick, The Mascara, and The Brow Pencil.
