‘I saw the B&M Christmas range and one £25 gift is a must-buy’

I saw the B&M Christmas range and, as expected, it has plenty of cute stocking fillers and festive home products. From the £6 carousel candle (which won the judge’s pick at the Big Christmas Wishlist Awards) to its fun range of novelty mugs starting at just £3, the retailer has plenty to help you prepare this Christmas.

But its home products are not the only range I’m eyeing up. The retailer has some great gifting options, and I think one is a standout this year. I think that this is especially the case if you have plenty of people to buy for, as it feels luxurious but comes in at only £24.99. B&M’s hair styler, which is £455 cheaper than the Dyson Airwrap, feels exciting and special to receive as a Christmas gift.

The Elle 5-in-1 Styling Set promises to make hair bouncy and curly with reduced heat damage because it uses high-speed airflow to style the hair, rather than extreme heat.

As you’d expect, it comes with five different attachments and the curling barrel is the stand out feature. The two attachments pull through the air in opposite directions, and while I hate styling my hair, it was much easier to use than a traditional dryer and hairbrush or a curling iron, and it gave me the closest feeling to a salon blow-dry.

The blow-drying attachment clicks onto the top of the device easily, and although the airflow is less powerful than a traditional dryer so it takes longer to dry, it didn’t burn my hair or feel too aggressive, and my hair ended up looking and feeling smoother.

The volumising brush is also great, because it means you don’t have to master the impossible skill of coordinating the brush and the dryer. I’ve never used the smoothing attachment, but even without that, I think it is worth the money.

It obviously does not have the same high-tech capability as the £479.99 Dyson Airwrap i.d.™ multi-styler and dryer – Straight+Wavy (Amber silk). However, for the money, I can’t complain at all.

The handy travel case makes it feel like a complete present, one that I would feel confident giving to my family on Christmas morning.
