Netflix has released a new romantic comedy that’s quickly becoming a fan favourite. Viewers have admitted they didn’t expect much going in, but quickly found themselves hooked. Now it’s being hailed as a “10/10,” romcom fans can’t stop talking about.
Launched on Friday, September 12, The Wrong Paris stars Miranda Cosgrove, who is looking to make quick money to pay for art school in Paris. Following her sister’s advice, she auditions for a dating show, The Honeypot, where she competes against other women to win the heart of Trey McAllen (Pierson Fodé) and the big cash prize at the end.
Slowly, she begins falling for Trey, but she has to decide between her dream and his love. Despite viewers’ apprehension about the romcom, fans on social media admit they have been completely charmed by the characters and the plot, so much so that many are now calling it a perfect 10/10.
Content creator, @notyumna, took to TikTok to praise the film and shared: “This shouldn’t have been a fun and wonderful experience, but it really was because The Wrong Paris was great.
“I watched it with friends this weekend, and five people can attest that this was a wonderful, top-notch romcom, Hallmark movie adjacent experience.”
A viewer commented on her video, agreeing: “It was so good. 10/10. ” Another added: “It was such a good palate cleanser. I haven’t watched a feel-good movie. It was soooo fun.”

How does it fare on Rotten Tomatoes?
However, Wrong Paris has a Rotten Tomatoes score of 67% from critics and 61% from the audience. Critic Rachel Leishman from The Mary Sue commented: “While the movie is absolutely outlandish, it is a beautiful addition to the rom-com genre because it is new and different.”
Zach Youngs from InSession Film said, “Yet, even with the chemistry of a couple, the twists and turns in a story, and a great happily ever after, the details can sometimes ruin the fantasy.”
Laura Harman from metro.co.uk shared: “It’s cheeky and silly, but with strong bones, such as likeable characters, a strong narrative structure, and an original script.”
