As the weather starts getting chillier, shoppers have been flocking to New Look to get their hands on a coat one reviewer has called “absolutely gorgeous”.
The coat, priced at £40, is a hit with shoppers and has an impressive rating of 4.6 out of five stars, reports the Daily Record.
One happy customer, who purchased the jacket in burgundy, wrote that the “colour is so lovely and it fits really well”, also mentioning it was “great value”.
The coat, which comes in a range of sizes between six and 22, is also available in black, mink, and a light khaki. The fifth shade, a dark brown, is already sold out.
For those looking for warm and stylish alternatives on the high street, M&S has a wool-blend double-breasted coat in khaki for £75. A shorter design, it features a wide collar and notched lapels for a chic, high-end finish.
H&M’s £50 belted brush-finished jacket is another option, available in four staple colours including light beige and black. It comes in a range of sizes from XXS to 4XL.
Back to the New Look coat, its longer length and tailored design make it perfect for wearing over workwear or evening outfits. It could also add a touch of sophistication to a casual outfit or jeans.
“This is a great simple coat to style up an outfit,” a shopper shared. “Not too thick, great for layering underneath.”
The coat has also been called “ideal for autumn weather,” with another reviewer agreeing that it is “lovely and lightweight, perfect for this time of year”.
A fourth review coming from a “happy customer” said: “I am between an 8 and 10 and an 8 fit great, so the usual coat sizing for New Look”.
The only downside that some shoppers pointed out was the coat’s lack of a fastening, with one saying that they “don’t understand jackets and cardigans without a button to fasten”.
Another left a mixed review: “Unlined and fabric is a little rough so can catch on delicate tops”.
