I swear by this pan that sold out 30 times – now £50 off

The Our Place Always Pan, having sold out more than 30 times in the UK and accumulated a waiting list of over 50,000 people, has been one of the most sought-after kitchen purchases in recent years. But you might be wondering, what’s so extraordinary about a saucepan?

Keen to see if it was worth the buzz, I put the 10-in-1 pan to the test over several weeks and the chic cookware has not let me down since. I now hardly use any of my other pans as I always find myself reaching for the Always Pan so I certainly think it’s worth it.

Usually selling for £130 at full price, the Always Pan has been discounted to £80 in the Our Place early Black Friday sale, saving shoppers £50. That’s the cheapest price I’ve seen this year, having been reduced to £95 in their spring sale.

It can do everything from searing to steaming, boiling, baking, straining and serving. And, if your kitchen cabinets are overflowing with various pots and pans, there’s nothing better than discovering a piece of cookware that resolves this issue and recquires less washing up. The Always Pan isn’t the cheapest pan on the market so if you’re considering investing in one, now is an excellent time to seize the offer and nab it for £80.

My initial encounter with the Always Pan revealed it to be much lighter than anticipated. Crafted from aluminium, its specially designed lightweight construction ensures that even when filled with water or food, it’s not a hefty task to move it to the sink or dining table.

When it comes to cooking, you want a pan that heats up in a jiffy. With the Always Pan, I didn’t find myself twiddling my thumbs waiting for it to heat up – in fact, it was so quick I barely noticed any time passing. It also retains heat superbly, ensuring your food stays piping hot and is oven safe up to 230C.

These days, the Always Pan is my go-to for whipping up most of my meals. From pasta dishes to fried eggs and pancakes, it’s been put through its paces. I’m particularly fond of using the steaming function for veggies and dumplings. It excels at cooking every dish I’ve tried, eliminating the need for any other kitchen equipment.

Generally, I cook for one or two people, but if you’re catering for a larger family, the Large Always Pan might be a better fit. Despite its many features, there’s only so much one pan can accommodate. Originally priced at £155, it’s now down to £95 as part of the Black Friday sale.

As expected, the Always Pan is hands down the most aesthetically pleasing piece of cookware I own. It is available in a range of colours to match your kitchen decor, including sage, spice, lavender, and blue salt.

At £80, the Always Pan might seem a bit steep, but when you consider its daily use, it’s definitely worth the investment, in my view. For comparison, the Ninja Foodie 9-in-1 Possible Pan is priced at £129.99 but is currently on sale for £79.99, and a Le Creuset Pan would set you back £155.

There are more affordable options available, like this multipurpose pan from Amazon, which costs £60.17. To maintain the non-stick quality of the Always Pan, you need to treat it with care and not just dive in as you might with other pans.

This means it will take a bit more time to clean up after using it which some users may find frustrating. The manufacturer advises using a low to medium heat, never heating an empty pan, always using high smoke point oils and avoiding aerosol spray oils.

Dishwashers aren’t recommended either; instead, you should hand wash the pan once it has completely cooled down – so no plunging the pan into cold water immediately after cooking. It’s also best to avoid scourers and harsh cleaning products.

You can browse the entire Our Place Black Friday sale here or specifically purchase the Always Pan at the discounted price here. Our Place has also launched the Wonder Oven 6-in-1 Air Fryer – it’s on sale for the first time this year at £150 down from £195.
